Spring in the Air!

Finally, there in NO snow in my front yard. There is still some in the back, but that's what's left from shoveling the garage roof. The poor grasses everywhere in town look as though they just gave up. Laying flat, rather pale and sickly looking. That should improve soon as the days are longer, providing a little more light for it to green up. We don't get as much light as the neighboring towns because of our majestic ring of mountains, but it's so worth living here. I'll take the diminished light.

The daffodils are struggling to stand tall. The crocus meet the challenge head on, successfully unfolded their petals with grace. The ever hardy and verocious weeds are seemingly not having any trouble whatsoever! They poke their proud little heads through the dirt, just daring anyone to try and come against them. Well, that battle is equal to Bannockburn. But unfortunately, just like the British they will rise their ugly little heads for battle again and again. This Scottish decendent will not be beaten and like any good Scot will fight to the bitter end!

Whitehorse Mt. has never been more beautiful than one day this week. She was dressed in her most exquisite dress of pure white with blue trim. She was absolutely glowing in the light of the morning sun. I could have sat all day taking in that sight. No photograph could never hold water to the live performance that morning. God has blessed us in this little mountain hamlet. I just wish everyone realized that.
