My all time favorite flower is the Columbine. This little purple and white one grows in my back garden area. It is mingled with Lily of the Valley.
This is a huge fern in my "wild area". She is surrounded by lots of salal. To the west is an old gravenstien apple tree that has fallen, grown upward and at some point had a transparent apple tree grafted to it. So it's a combination of new and old and a wonderful sight.
This little maple tree is insisting on growing in the middle of the Lily of the Valley. Right now it's really pretty, but I must remove it as it is right next to the house. There is another one about the same size growing under my grapevines that must also be moved. So, I'm trying to find a place for them to grow together.

I absolutely love Lily of the Valley but it is so invasive. A couple little plants have completely taken over an area about 6 feet long. It' such a good grower. I'm planning on finding an area where it can grow together into itself. I will need to put it in a container in the ground to keep in in one area. We'll see how that goes.
