Nov 21, 09: First snowfall of the 09-10 winter in Darrington. Guess what I did for a couple hours? Yep, I walked my favorite trail again. The sounds this day were:
RAIN DROPS
MELTING SNOW FALLING OFF TREE BRANCHES
QUIET RIVER WATER
AN EAGLE SCREACHING yee-ka-ka-ka-ka-ka




This picture was more than I bargained for. The orange streak is the tree trunk. The moss was incredible. I love moss and mushrooms.


Not as clear as I would have liked. Excuse: gloves-no picture. no gloves-frozen fingers


These guys aren't giving up.




I met myself coming and going.

    Your description of the sounds you heard bring your snowy walk to life. I enlarged the shot of the moss-hung tree and it was stunning.
