19 December 2009

We had a very cold spell a week or so back. It was 2*f several morning and got to about 15*f
during the day time. Sun was shining brightly every day. Between the brightness of the sun and the beauty of the ice, the week was a sight to behold.

This was just fun picture of the leaves in the woods covered with ice crystals.

Not a single snow flake here---100% ice. This is Dan's Creek near my childhood home. Dozens of kids learned to swim in this waterway.

Ahhhh! North Fork Sauk Falls. Absolutely beautiful in any season. This deep freeze created an unbelievable world of ice. I was so amazed.

Just a little distance from town. I spent an afternoon just driving around to see the ice formations on trees, in the fields and the waters.
